Cultural Camps

Camp programs suitable for everyone 

Gudida’s Cultural Camps provide a deeper and more immersive opportunity to experience Worimi culture. Designed for groups wanting extended engagement, camps allow participants to spend more time connecting with culture through workshops, tours and shared learning experiences.

Held at Murrook and across Worimi Country, cultural camps explore Aboriginal history, traditions and contemporary perspectives while encouraging meaningful interaction with community and place. Participants learn from local Aboriginal educators who share cultural knowledge, stories and practices in a supportive and engaging environment.

Through immersive activities, participants gain a stronger appreciation of Worimi heritage and identity while building respect for Aboriginal culture and connection to Country.

ARTEFACT & ART WORKSHOPS: 

Explore traditions, land connections, dances, ceremonies and practices. Craft a unique keepsake blending our culture, symbols and nature with your art.

ON COUNTRY DREAMING TOUR: 

Experience Tomaree, Gan Gan, Little Beach, Birubi Beach and more to explore Worimi Dreaming, canoes, scar trees, flora and traditional land practices.

EXHIBITION TOUR:

Immerse in Worimi culture through visual experiences, filmed histories, interactive narratives and explore pre-colonial Port Stephens. 

 ON COUNTRY RESOURCE TOUR:

Enjoy a guided walk around the parklands or sand dunes. Through traditional land management and care, discover the diversity of our flora and fauna.

Cultural camps support deeper cultural understanding while encouraging teamwork, reflection and connection between participants and community.
