Workshops suitable for everyone 

Gudida’s Cultural Workshops offer hands-on experiences that introduce participants to the culture, traditions and stories of the Worimi people in a welcoming and engaging environment. Suitable for individuals, schools, organisations and community groups, these workshops provide meaningful opportunities to learn directly from local Aboriginal educators.

Workshops are held at Murrook Culture Centre or on Country and are designed to give participants insight into Aboriginal culture through interactive learning and shared experiences. Participants explore Worimi history, artefacts and traditional life while gaining a deeper understanding of the strong connection between people, land and community.

Each workshop encourages curiosity, participation and cultural awareness. Through creative activities and guided discussions, participants learn about traditions that continue to shape Worimi culture today.

DUNE RESOURSE TOUR:

Explore ancient Aboriginal sites at the Southern Hemisphere's largest moving dunes and learn about the Worimi identity and traditional foods.

ON COUNTRY RESOURSE TOUR:

Enjoy a guided walk around the parklands. Through traditional land management and care, discover the diversity of our flora and fauna.

WORIMI HISTORY:

Learn about life in Aboriginal society, traditions, customs, strong connection to land, significance of ceremonies, and hunting practices.

WORIMI ARTEFACTS:

Worimi artefacts, such as tools and middens, reveal insights into their traditional lifestyle and cultural practices. These items reflect their connection to the land and sea and showcase their resourcefulness, daily life, and ceremonial activities.

Worimi Buna programs are designed to build understanding, respect and confidence in cultural engagement while creating memorable and enriching experiences for all participants.
